2009 Lions Tour to South Africa

Mr & Mrs Owen - A photograph will capture a person or a moment, and if you're lucky it will capture both. I took over 500 photos and every one means something to me and dawn. I will never forget the places, sights, sounds, but most of all the people. Atlas made it possible and I will always be thankful that I chose your company. The Hereford Group - Hello there Roy, good to hear from you. Sorry about the late reply, don't go on line very often! We had a wonderful time in S. Africa, really feel it was a holiday in a lifetime and thought how you arranged it all was absolutely marvellous, all the places we visited and the great experiences, have told everybody we know - have probably bored them to tears! We are interested in Australia, saving as we speak, trying to get a few more to go. The recession is affecting quite a lot of people here and although interested, are hanging on to see how the jobs etc, pans out; we would obviously love to go to N.Z etc if only we had a money tree. I did wonder if you are doing Hong Kong 7's and how much that might be, would love to surprise Rob. We are also looking to go to Cape Town this year with four more of our party if you have any offers on trips. We are not in control of this one but we are all looking for bargains! Thinking of October and on if that is the best time to go. Look forward to hearing from you". Elaine Chandler.

Clogher Valley RFC Group - "We had a very enjoyable trip. We found Atlas Group Travel a good company to tour with, everything was as we expected and would have no problem recommending them in the future". Paul Scott (Tour Leader).

"Hi Roy, The boys and me had a great time and the itinerary that you put together for us worked well from end-to-end. Only had two incidents both concerned me. Mango from Durban to Cape Town left my luggage in Durban but it turned up early next day, but of course you know this. The second, Virgin mislaid my bag on the homeward leg but again it turned up a few days later. The hotels selected were exceptional though the Beach Hotel in Durban was a little ‘tired’. We particularly enjoyed the Ritz in Cape Town, the revolving restaurant on the top floor added to atmosphere. Shame the weather knocked out going up the mountain and the shark cage trip that I had secretly planned as a surprise for the boys.            

We stayed at my place in White River following Cape Town hiring a car and driving to Pretoria for the 2nd test. Had another great night in the hotel (though surrounded by many sad Lions fans) then back to White River and a week of golf and the Kruger Park!....Can’t thank you enough for putting together a great trip very much enjoyed by all in fact some of the guys believe the visit to SA to have been a life changing experience!. Yes please, can I register for the Rugby World Cup in 2011". Very Best Regards. Glen.

2013 Lions Tour to Australia

The Swansea Group - "Dear Roy. Many thanks for your email, sorry its taken so long to reply I have been trying to sort out my photographs so I could choose a few to send to you. Myself and Paul and the rest of the gang would like to thank you and Clive very much for the exceptional tour you arranged for us. From start to finish it went smoothly with no problems at all. I can honestly say that we all had such a wonderful time in all three places. Our first apartment in Brisbane was out of this world with views to die for, the hotel in Melbourne was a good base, and finally the boutique hotel in Sydney was something completely different set in a lovely area opposite the park. As you know we used every day to explore and see and do as much as we could this was all topped off by the fantastic rugby tests, in the final test in Sydney we could hardly believe we were there!!, although we traveled as a group we also met some lovely Australian people, who we had a great laugh with. I have attached a few photographs for you to see, not sure if you had the ones you are in as by that point we were well oiled ha ha!. We all wish our time had been longer in Australia as there was so much to see and do but I don't think we could have packed in any more in the three weeks there. Once again a big thank you from us all, who are all singing your praises and would recommend your company to all our families, friends and workmates. The Barrie Lewis Group - “Hi Roy, Thanks again for a great tour it took us about three weeks to get over it. The hotels and apartments that you organised were excellent and all in great positions. We knew this was going to be the case after our tour with you to South Africa four years ago. Our flights were well planned and our itinerary gave us plenty of opportunity to visit lots of wonderful places in Australia. The highlight was probably our visit to the Great Barrier Reef where we snorkeled with barracuda, turtles and sting rays, although for highlights the atmosphere in the stadium after the final test took some beating.
