Beijing is the capital of China, the centre of politics, culture, economy, transportation and has some of the best known historic landmarks such as the Forbidden City, Summer Palace and close by the famous Great Wall; it's a combination of old tradition and modernization. If there is only one city to visit in China, then it has to be Beijing for a whistle stop tour.
Below is just a sample itinerary and only meant as a guide. It has been designed by our Chinese Ground Agent and fits in all the popular historic landmarks this fascinating city has to offer.

5 Days - Beijing Standard Package includes: Return International economy flights, bed and breakfast accommodation on a double/twin share basis, English-speaking guide service throughout the whole tour, excursions (including entrance fees) to all places as highlighted in the itinerary below and all internal transportation in China.
Day 1 - After arriving in Beijing from your International flights you will be met by our English speaking guide and transferred to your chosen hotel and the start of your 4 nights stay.
Day 2 - Take a morning walk at Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world and where, on 1st October 1949, Chairman Mao Tse-Tung proclaimed to the whole world the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Then visit the Forbidden City which was the Imperial Palace for the Ming and the Qing Dynasty comprising 800 buildings and over 9,000 rooms. In the afternoon visit the Summer Palace to see the second home of the Imperial Court, with its huge collection of over 1,000 paintings, and its charming gardens with marble pagodas and delicately arched bridges.
Day 3 - Take a full days excursion to the Juyongguan Section of the Great Wall the Ming Tombs at Changling and the Olympic Park. Start the day by visiting The Great Wall which is China’s most famous landmark. Built during the Qin Dynasty to protect the country from invaders with a total length of over 6,000 miles. Proceed to The Ming Tombs at Changling where the Emperor Yongle and his Empress were buried and finally drive to the Olympic park where the 2008 Olympic Games were held.
Day 4 - Visit the Temple of Heaven, which is said to be the most beautiful building in Beijing, and then go to see Pandas at Beijing Zoo. Watch the Tea Ceremony, which is an art and where tourists can see the elegant tea-making demonstration and taste the tea as well! Finally take a walking tour through Beijing’s Old Hutong Area, and Wangfujing Street.
Day 5 - Today you will be transferred from the hotel to Beijing International Airport for your return flight back to the UK. The arrival date back into the UK will depend on the flight departure time from China.
